Arrival & Dismissal
At Tehaleh Heights Elementary, safety and efficiency are our top priorities during arrival and dismissal. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping us keep every Trailblazer safe.
General Reminders
-
Changes to transportation must be made with the office by 3:15 p.m. The office is closed from 3:15–3:45 to ensure a safe dismissal.
-
Families must choose one dismissal option for each student. Classroom teachers cannot make changes—please contact the office if adjustments are needed.
Dismissal Options
We offer five safe and convenient ways for students to arrive and leave school:
-
Bus Riders – Buses use the back loop. Students enter/exit through the “Launch Pad Doors.” Staff are available to assist if needed.
-
Independent Walkers/Bike/Scooter Riders – Students must stay on sidewalks. Bikes and scooters are walked on school grounds. Parents may meet students along Berkeley Parkway E.
-
Car Loop
-
Arrivals: Single-lane drop-off in the front loop. Students exit on the passenger side only. Parents remain in vehicles; staff will assist as needed.
-
Dismissal: Two lanes form in the front loop. Families use car tags scanned into our Silent Dismissal system. Students load between marked crosswalks, always on the passenger side.
-
-
Park & Walk Up – Families park in the front lot (north entrance only). Students are walked across crosswalks to/from the “Launch Pad Door.” During dismissal, families line up in front of the gym.
-
Right at School Program – Before/after school care. Families will receive details directly from the site director.
Silent Dismissal System
-
Each student is assigned a unique dismissal number each year.
-
Families receive two yellow parent tags with the student’s number for car loop and walk-up options.
-
Bus riders receive a QR code attached to their backpack.
-
These numbers ensure a safe and efficient dismissal process.
Preschool Families
Preschool arrival and pick-up details are provided directly by teachers.
